Parent Education Consultation: What to Expect

Before tutoring begins, we take time to learn more about your child, your family’s goals, and the support your student may need. The parent consultation is an important first step because it helps us understand the whole picture, not just a grade, test score, or assignment.

During this call, we may ask about your child’s current grade level, school experience, academic strengths, learning struggles, recent wins, and areas of concern. We also want to hear what you are noticing at home. Some students need help catching up in a specific subject. Others need support with confidence, organization, focus, study habits, or staying challenged when they are ready for more.

This conversation also gives parents a chance to share any learning differences, testing history, classroom concerns, or past tutoring experiences that may help us better support their child. Whether your student is behind, right on track, or ready to move ahead, we want to understand where they are starting and what success should look like for your family.
