Payment Options
Families may choose one of the following payment options:
Pay by Semester
Two payments for the school year.
This option has no administrative fee.
Semester billing is the best value for families who want fewer payments and no installment fee.
Pay by Nine Weeks
Four payments, one per grading period.
This option includes an administrative fee for installment billing.
Payment is due before the first session of each nine-week period.
Monthly Auto-Pay
Monthly payments are available through auto-pay only.
This option includes a monthly administrative fee for installment billing.
Monthly auto-pay is designed for families who prefer smaller payments spread across the school year.
Session Counts by Day
Monday groups: 31 sessions
Tuesday groups: 35 sessions, if following the same school-year calendar
Wednesday groups: 35 sessions
Thursday groups: 35 sessions, if following the same school-year calendar
All group sessions are billed at the same rate of $45 per session. Total annual cost depends on the number of sessions scheduled for that specific group.
Payment Policy
Enrollment reserves your student’s seat for the full school year or the full agreed tutoring schedule.
Payment is due at the beginning of each billing period. Families may pay by semester, by nine weeks, or through monthly auto-pay when available.
Missed sessions are not credited, refunded, or rescheduled. Your student’s seat is reserved whether or not they attend.
If payment is late, missed, or declined, enrollment may be cancelled immediately. Seats may be offered to the next student on the waitlist without further notice.
Prior payments are non-refundable. Re-enrollment is not guaranteed and depends on availability.
All group sessions are $45 per session regardless of payment plan. Administrative fees reflect the convenience of installment billing.


Group Tutoring - $45 per group session
Small Town Scholars group sessions are grade-specific or course-specific and limited to 6 students per content group or 8 students per study hall group. Groups launch with a minimum of 4 committed students.
Group tutoring is a school-year commitment. Enrollment reserves your student’s seat for the full session schedule. This is not a drop-in service. Your student’s seat is held whether or not they attend.
1:1 Tutoring
Middle School 1:1 Tutoring: $125 per session
High School 1:1 Tutoring: $150 per session
1:1 Learning Difference Support: $150 per session
1:1 tutoring is available for students who need individualized support, including students who want to accelerate, students with content gaps, students who are behind grade level, and students who learn differently.
Required First Step- Enrollment Intake Assessment
All students must complete an intake assessment before joining a Small Town Scholars group or 1:1 tutoring plan.
The intake helps determine the student’s current skill level, learning needs, readiness, and best placement.
$150 · one time per school year
One assessment covers all Small Town Scholars enrollments for the 2026–2027 school year. If your student joins more than one group or moves between services, a second intake is not required unless additional testing is needed.








Payment Plans & Seat Reservation
Small Town Scholars offers three payment options for school-year tutoring:
Pay by Semester
Two payments for the school year. No administrative fee.
Pay by Nine Weeks
Four payments, one per grading period. A $15 administrative fee applies to each nine-week payment.
Monthly Auto-Pay
Monthly payments from August through April. A $20 monthly administrative fee applies. Auto-pay enrollment is required.
A $150 SEAT DEPOSIT is required to reserve your student’s seat. This deposit is applied toward your student’s tuition balance and is not an additional fee.
The Enrollment Intake Assessment is also required before tutoring begins and is billed separately as a one-time assessment fee per school year.
All group and 1:1 tutoring schedules are school-year commitments. Your student’s seat is reserved for the full tutoring schedule, whether or not your student attends each session.
Payment Due Dates
Semester Payment Plan
Semester 1 payment: Due by August 13, 2026 - 1st day of semester 1.
Semester 2 payment: Due by January 6, @027 - 1st day of Semester 2.
Nine-Week Payment Plan
Nine-week payments are due before the first session of each grading period.
Due Dates: August 17, October 19, January 11, March 22
Monthly Auto-Pay Plan
Monthly auto-pay is processed on the 15th of each month from August through April.
Monthly payment dates:
August 15, September 15, October 15, November 15, December 15, January 15, February 15, March 15, April 15
Late or Failed Payment Policy
Payment must be received on or before the scheduled due date.
If payment is late, missed, declined, or not resolved before the due date, your student’s enrollment may be cancelled immediately.
Because seats are limited, failure to make payment may result in your student losing their seat, and the seat may be offered to the next student on the waitlist without further notice.
Prior payments are non-refundable. Re-enrollment is not guaranteed and depends on availability.
